- The state’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is up to 37,552 and 1,609 deaths as of 7 p.m. Sunday. The Georgia Department of Public Health says it will update its website with new data at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- The Georgia Department of Public Health is distributing an initial allotment of the drug remdesivir received from the federal government. Georgia received 30 cases, with 40 vials of the drug per case, enough to treat about 110 patients, depending on the duration of an individual’s treatment.
- Atlanta Botanical Garden is preparing to reopen to members starting Monday. But all guests must reserve timed tickets online among other safety changes.
- Zoo Atlanta has reopened its doors to visitors, but there are changes aimed to keep them and workers safe.
- LA Fitness announced Sunday that Georgia gyms will reopen this week. The gyms will have a preview period starting May 22 with plans to resume billing in June.
- Uber will require all drivers, riders and delivery drivers to wear masks starting Monday.
- Election officials will finish preparing in-person voting sites for early voting, which begins Monday. Here’s how your polling place will look different.
- Goodwill is preparing to accept donations again starting Monday. While Goodwill insists it “absolutely needs your donations” right now, the organization has changed the way it will accept donated items.
- NASCAR returned to the track for the first time since March -- without spectators.
