- There are now 16,368 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 617 related deaths in Georgia. At least 3,260 cases have required hospitalization. These numbers were updated at 9:10 a.m. Thursday.
- The Department of Justice says it has charged a former vice president of Peachtree Corners Healthcare company for breaking into a computer system and altering records that ended up delaying supplies of face masks and other personal protective equipment to other healthcare providers.
- New unemployment numbers show 5.2 million workers filed for help last week. That brings the total number nationwide to roughly 22 million.
- March 2020 labor statistics for Georgia revealed that the over-the-month increase for the unemployment rate was the largest on record.
