- There are now 12,545 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 442 deaths in Georgia, according to new data released Sunday. At least 2,516 cases have required hospitalization.
- Gov. Brain Kemp announced Saturday that the Georgia World Congress Center will be transformed into a temporary hospital for coronavirus patients.
- A worker at the Georgia Governor’s Mansion tested positive for COVID-19. The Governor’s Office says he had no direct contact with the First Family or with the Mansion’s staff. “Anyone who was directly exposed to the worker has been tested and quarantined out of an abundance of caution. The premises are routinely disinfected, and we have suspended the use of work crews at the Mansion to mitigate risk,” the office said.
- Thousands of people are celebrating Easter in a new way. The tradition of attending Easter Sunday mass is online, with dozens of churches across the metro area making theirs available.
- Officials are urging Kemp to suspend a decades-long anti-mask law.
