  • The Department of Public Health now reports that every county in Georgia has confirmed cases of coronavirus.
  • The state’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is up to 31,542 and 1,342 deaths as of Thursday evening. The Georgia Department of Public Health updated its website for more hourly numbers.
  • Gov. Brian Kemp held a news conference Thursday and said there is an abundance of coronavirus tests and said all Georgians can now be tested with, or without, symptoms.
  • Before the governor spoke, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms talked about what the city is doing during an audio meeting. Bottoms has been critical of Kemp’s decision to reopen.
  • New unemployment numbers nationwide were released Thursday morning. Another 3.2 million Americans file for jobless claims last week. That brings the total to roughly 33.5 million people in the last 7 weeks.
  • As digital learning winds down, school districts across Georgia are now trying to figure out what next year looks like. Gwinnett County planned to bring staff and teachers back this week, but now reversed that move.
