- Georgia’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is up to 29,892 and 1,295 deaths as of Tuesday night. The Georgia Department of Public Health updated its website for more hourly numbers. Only one county in the state, Glascock, has not reported any cases.
- Gov. Brian Kemp was in Albany today to visit Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The hospital has set up a 24-bed mobile hospital unit on site that will serve COVID-19 patients starting tomorrow.
- The Food and Drug Administration rolled out a new stringent policy for testing amid criticism that the agency allowed inaccurate tests to flood the market in recent weeks. Channel 2′s Michael Seiden looked into the testing process and took one.
- Today is Giving Tuesday Now as thousands of nonprofits in Georgia need your help. Many of their spring fundraisers were canceled because of coronavirus -- but the need is still there and growing every day. Donate to one of thousands of charities that help our community here.
- The number of delayed coronavirus test results from a handful of metro Atlanta testing sites has grown significantly, Channel 2 Action News investigative reporter Nicole Carr has learned.
- Costco is following Kroger’s lead and limiting the amount of meat customers can buy as shortages grow.
- Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines announced they will limit seating on planes even further.
- Georgia KOA campgrounds are now open again in Cartersville, Forsyth, Lake Oconee and Blue Ridge.
- Tyler Perry said he will reopen his studios as temporary housing for crews and staff.
