- There are now 23,261 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia, with 907 deaths and 4,353 total cases have required hospitalization. This is all as of 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the Georgia Depart of Public Health website. As of 7 p.m. Friday, there were 22,491 confirmed cases, 899 deaths and 4,322 total hospitalizations in Georgia.
- Dawson County’s Emergency Management Agency and the National Guard will open a COVID-19 specimen collection site Sunday at Rock Creek Park. The State of Georgia has partnered with Augusta Medical for developing kits and laboratory testing. The site will start testing patients at 10 a.m. on Sunday and stay open until 2 p.m. or until they run out of test kits.
- Parks in Cobb County, including the popular Silver Comet Trail, Noonday Creek Trail and Bob Callen Trail, are reopening today.

- Phase 1 of Georgia reopening started Friday. Salons, spas and gyms are among the nonessential businesses that can reopen.
- Pres. Trump called out Gov. Brian Kemp in a tweet Friday morning. It was the 3rd day in a row he has blasted Kemp for his plans to reopen Georgia.
- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services today announced the Georgia Department of Public Health will receive $16.4 million to enhance testing capacity, conduct contact tracing, and protect high-risk populations.
