- As of 7 p.m. Thursday, there were 21,883 confirmed cases, 881 deaths and 4,154 total hospitalizations.
- Pres. Trump on Thursday night blasted Gov. Brian Kemp for his plans to partially reopen Georgia businesses starting Friday.
- New Georgia unemployment numbers show 1 million Georgians have filed for unemployment. The state’s labor commissioner said Georgia has already paid out over a billion dollars.
- Gov. Kemp announced a drive-thru rapid COVID-19 testing site will open at a Walgreens on Jones Bridge Road in Johns Creek. Testing is by appointment only. The site will be able to conduct up to 150 tests per day.
- COVID-19 testing in Georgia has nearly doubled in the past 10 days, according to Gov. Brian Kemp.
- The North Georgia Zoo announced it is now open, but all visits will be required to be by reservation only. You can make a reservation here.
- During a news conference Wednesday, President Trump said he “strongly disagrees” with Gov. Brian Kemp’s plan to start reopening the state. Later that night, Kemp responded saying his plan was “driven by data and guided by state public health officials.”
