Country superstar Miranda Lambert tweets about scary accident in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Miranda Lambert said she has a lot to be grateful for after a scary car accident in Atlanta.

The country music superstar tweeted last week that she and her husband Brendan were driving back to Nashville after a stop at Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia, last week when they encountered trouble in Atlanta.

Lambert and her husband, who were towing an Airstream trailer, were on Interstate 20 when a driver was “driving erratically.” At some point, Lambert said the driver then tried to squeeze in between them and a semi tractor-trailer while driving around 70 mph. The car hit the Airstream and sent the singer and her husband into the left lane.

Lambert said the collision caused the Airstream to “fishtail” but they were able to get it under control and pull over to the shoulder.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt and the Airstream only had minor damage.

Lambert said nobody stopped and the car that caused the accident sped off.

After calling the police to file a report, Lambert said she called her mother.

“I called mama right away to say that I know her prayers are always heard cause I know she prays for us every morning about 4:30 a.m. Especially when we are on the road,” Lambert wrote in the tweet.

Lambert said that despite the scary crash and the headache of getting the Airstream repaired, she and her husband had an amazing trip and realized just how much they have learned to be grateful for.
