COUNTY BY COUNTY: Flooding across metro Atlanta

ATLANTA — Several roads across the metro Atlanta area are blocked from flooding after severe weather moved through overnight and into Thursday morning.

Other roads have experienced heavy flooding, but remain open.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Jennifer Lopez is tracking what’s left of the system. The heavy rain is expected to continue throughout Thursday.

Atlanta

16th Street near the ramp to I-75 North in Atlanta experienced a large amount of flooding, but is still open.

Peachtree Creek near Bobby Jones Golf Course flooded Thursday morning.

Paulding County

Sleepy Hollow Road between Ralston Rd and N Burnt Hickory Road in Paulding County is currently shut down. Emergency Management officials say the road will be closed for several days.

Winn Road near South Paulding High School is also heavily flooded, but us not shut down.

Cherokee County

In Woodstock, two walking trails are closed due to the flooding: Noonday Creek and Townelake Pass.

Coweta County

The Newnan Country Club also experienced a large amount of flooding on their golf course.
