COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — The Newnan community quickly came together this weekend to donate bikes to three brothers whose family lost everything in the March 26 tornado.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday that their Adopt-A-Bike program was out of bikes, but they really wanted to help the three boys, ages 9, 6 and 2 years old.

Within hours, a mom and daughter, Lisa and Victoria Quackenbush, were able to donate bikes to all three boys and many other people in the community had also donated bikes to the program.
“JJ, DJ and Anthony will be sporting some pretty cool bikes and helmets this summer! (Along with a pool and lots of other fun things),” the sheriff’s office wrote.
The boys’ grandmother, Christine Davis Evans said that what the Quackenbushes and the sheriff’s office did for them goes far and above the adorable photos.

“I cannot begin to thank all involved. When my son and family moved into my little house, we knew we were going to have to make some adjustments,” Evans wrote. “They lost everything in the tornado and are still waiting on a home. CCSO and Ms. Lisa and family just made life a little easier! My boys are so happy and so are we. May God bless each of you tenfold!”
