COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office welcomed a new K-9 team to their office this week.

K-9 Theo and his handler, Sergeant Trent Hastings, completed their certification a few weeks before joining the team.
The 2-year-old German Shepard came to CCSO from Hungary.

K-9 Theo lives with Hastings and trains a day in and day out while on and off duty.
This is the department’s seventh K9 team.

“We know this new team will serve Coweta proudly,” officials wrote on Facebook. “We are so excited about their successful future along with our other canine teams.”
There is always one K-9 team on call 24 hours daily to assist deputies in their investigations.
