COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — The man accused of killing a Coweta County couple and their grandson has been found guilty.
A jury found Jacob Muse guilty of multiple counts of malice murder, felony murder and more late Monday afternoon. Following the verdict, the judge sentenced him to life without parole.
Muse shot and killed Thomas Richard Hawk Sr., 75, and Evelyn Hawk, 75, at the Lock, Stock & Barrel Shooting Range, which they owned.
The couple, along with 18-year-old Luke Hawk, were killed at the range on April 8, 2022.
Investigators determined that the shooter, later identified as Muse, had stolen more than 40 guns and also disabled cameras at the business.

Tommy and Evelyn Hawk had run Lock, Stock & Barrel and been a part of the small, tight-knit community for nearly 30 years. Their grandson Luke was on spring break from high school, helping his grandparents at the shop.
Luke Hawk’s father, Coweta County Coroner Richard Hawk Jr., found the bodies of his family.
Muse was charged with three counts of malice murder after he was arrested at a home in College Park just a few days after the shooting. Investigators found stolen handguns and long guns in the home with him.
The ATF confirmed many of the guns found matched ones stolen during the robbery and murders.
Police say at one point Muse lived in the area and may have shopped at the Hawks’ store before the shooting.
