COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — A Coweta County woman has been arrested after officers said she fell asleep in a bathtub with her baby and the baby died.
Anslie Brantley was arrested Friday and charged with second degree murder and second degree cruelty to children.

The Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened on June 9 at a home on Lassiter Road.

The baby boy was found unresponsive and later died at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. According to an obituary placed by the family, Draiden Shane Nichols was 11 months old.
Family members gave Channel 2 Action News permission to share photos of Draiden.
Investigators found that Brantley had taken drugs and fallen asleep in the bathtub with her son. Draiden was unresponsive when she woke up.

Brantley was arrested in Alamo, Georgia and taken to the Coweta County Jail.
