GRANTVILLE, Ga. — It was a triple murder that horrified the small Grantville community.

“My mom and dad, Christian people, raised me in a Christian home, spent 75 years together and died together,” son Richard Hawk Jr. said.

Three members of the same family were shot and killed.

75-year-old Thomas Richard Hawk Sr., his wife Evelyn Hawk and their 18-year-old grandson Luke Hawk were all found dead inside their Lock, Stock & Barrel Shooting Range in April 2022.

Jacob Christian Muse is accused of the crime.

Police say Muse, who was a regular at the range, shot the Hawks and then stole about 40 guns. Inside court state prosecutors showed evidence of guns found at Muse’s apartment.

Family members sat inside the court listening to testimony.
