COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators have released dashcam video from a chase along Interstate 85 that reached speeds up to 130 mph.
The chase began along the interstate in Coweta County where a deputy pulled over the car. The video shows that as soon as the deputy got out of his cruiser to approach the driver, the driver took off in his car.
Throughout the chase, the video shows the suspect hopping lanes and even driving in the emergency lane at times to get away from the Coweta deputy.
At one point, speeds reached 130 mph and the suspect also shot off two rounds at the deputy.

Eventually, the driver got off the interstate near the Sylvan Road exit, where the deputy performed a PIT maneuver and ran into the driver’s car.
By this point, several other officers had joined in on the chase and surrounded the car.
The driver was pulled out of the car and arrested. Investigators have not released the driver’s name.
Coweta County deputies said the driver was taken to be checked out for injuries. He faces multiple charges related to the chase.
