NEWNAN, Ga. — Police say a woman was shot by a man in a ski mask while driving in her car on I-85 Tuesday morning.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting happened on the interstate somewhere between the Newnan and the Fairburn exits around 5:45 a.m.
The woman told officers that a gray Buick pulled up beside her and a man wearing a black ski mask aimed a gun directly at her and fired. The woman did not recognize the man or the car.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Her condition and identity have not been released.
There was heavy police activity on the highway Tuesday morning as officers investigated.
The suspect has not been identified.
