Crack cocaine 'cookies' found during search at GA apartments

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — Two people are behind bars after Georgia deputies said they found illegal drugs inside an apartment.

On Monday, just before 9 a.m., Monroe County investigators executed a search warrant at the Forsyth Gardens Apartments. Authorities received information that Tramaine Haynes was selling illegal drugs in the apartment.

While searching the apartment, investigators found two crack cocaine ‘cookies,’ weighing 41.1 grams, other smaller pieces of crack cocaine that weighed 18 grams, a baggie of powder cocaine weighing 9.3 grams, over 140 grams of marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested Haynes and Taquilla Williams. They are both charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, distribution of controlled substances near public housing, and possession of drug-related objects.

Williams was also charged with violation of a family violence order. The duo was booked into the Monroe County Jail and held without bond.

The MCSO said Haynes was just granted a bond by the court in November for the same charges.
