COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A crane crashed onto a house on Wooten Lane Drive in Cobb County Tuesday afternoon.
It happened just before 6 p.m.
A family member says an elderly couple lives in the home and was having some trees removed when the crane toppled over.
The falling crane sheared through the carport and the side of the living area of the house.
A man who operates heavy equipment, but who was not working at the site, told us what might have gone wrong.
"With all the wet weather we've been having, you think you're on sure ground and all of a sudden there's water underneath and all of a sudden the weight can shift,” said heavy equipment operator Clarence Walker.
No one was injured.
