ATLANTA — All lanes of Interstate 20 eastbound have reopened after a deadly crash closed them for hours Tuesday morning.
Police tell Channel 2 Action News that one person died and at least six people were taken to the hospital following the three-car crash. The vehicles involved were mangled and crushed beyond recognition.
The wreck happened just before 4 a.m. Tuesday. The interstate was shut down for more than four hours as police investigated. All lanes reopened just after 8 a.m.
Channel 2's Audrey Washington learned the victim killed in the crash is Demetrius Cotton, 31, of Atlanta.
