ATLANTA — Authorities want to catch a man accused of robbing several dollar stores in metro Atlanta.

Channel 2′s Darryn Moore looks into the case of a man who pulled off a string of robberies at Dollar General stores.
He’s caught on security video but it’s hard to see his face. But what’s interesting about this case, is that the man robbed so many Dollar General stores that it got the FBI’s attention.

Surveillance video shows the suspect wearing all black.
“He’s got a mask on, his got clothes on, he’s wearing all black,” said Atlanta Police Sgt. Ronald Paxson.
One of the hold-ups happened on Feb. 8 in southwest Atlanta on MLK Jr Drive. It starts out with the man acting like he wants to buy to a drink but turns into something more sinister.

“Once everybody’s left the store, he goes inside and demands the manager puts money in a bag,” Paxson said.
He also told the manager to give him the money inside the safe. After being told there’s a 10-minute delay to open it, he leaves.
Investigators suspect he’s working alone.
“Since January eighth, there’s been a hand full of robberies metro wide,” Paxson said.
Agents from the FBI are helping work the case.
For this case, Crime Stoppers upped the ante from $2,000 to $5,000 for the arrest and a conviction. Remember, your tips are anonymous, and your identity kept secret.
