DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead and another in the hospital Thursday morning.

Georgia Power officials told Channel 2 Action News they were called to the scene after a crash caused one car to wrap around a power pole on Boldercrest Road.
Crews said one person is dead, and another had been taken to the hospital.

The identities of the victims have not been released.
A Channel 2 Action News photographer said he saw a red car that was slightly burned and believes it may have caught fire after hitting the pole.
It is unclear what led to the crash.

Channel 2 Action News reached out to DeKalb County police for a statement but has not received a response.
The crash remains under investigation.
