$10,000 reward issued for information on man seen on camera trying to start gas pump on fire

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County Fire Rescue investigators are offering a $10,000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest of a man who was caught on camera trying to start a gas pump on fire.

The video captured the incident on July 13 at a Shell station along N. Druid Hills Road.

The surveillance video shows a man walking up to one of the gas pumps at the station, spraying something on the ground and then running away.

A small fire then builds up next to the gas pump.

Another man is seen running into the Shell station to alert workers inside about the fire.

Investigators said the man is also wanted in a fire that was set next door the gas station in a vacant building that used to house Reggie’s Salon.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity is asked to call the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.
