DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police say two men were hospitalized after they were shot in a car in Stone Mountain early Thursday morning.

Police said they responded to reports of a shooting on Covington Highway. When police got to the scene, they found two men in their 20s with gunshot wounds.

The victims told police that they were in their car on Shawn Lane when someone started shooting at them. They got out of the car and ran to Covington Highway to try to get help.

Both men were taken to the hospital. Their current conditions are unclear.
The victims’ identities have not been released. It’s unclear if DeKalb County Police have any leads on the shooter or shooters.
