BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — An 8-month-old Brookhaven child has passed away after investigators say the child's mother and the mother's boyfriend brutally abused her.
The Brookhaven Police Department confirmed this information with Channel 2 Action News Sunday morning.
Court records show baby Kamonie Love had injuries on her legs, buttocks, chin and arms, as well as multiple rib fractures and a possible skull fracture.

A legal document says mother Shavone Whitehead admitted using a belt on occasion to punish the child.
Edward Wilson and Whitehead have been charged with cruelty to children and aggravated battery.
