DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are investigating after they say two men were shot during an attempted cell phone sale.

Around 7:37 p.m. on Thursday, DeKalb County officers responded to a person shot call in the 2500 block of Bouldercrest Road.
When police arrived, they found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back. The man, whose identity was not released, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
DKPD confirmed to Channel 2 Action News the 21-year-old later died from his injuries at the hospital.

At the same time, officers were called to the Chevron in the 3400 block of Flat Shoals Road. When officers arrived, they found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was taken to the hospital for his non-life-threatening injury. His identity was not released.
DKPD said the 21-year-old told officers he was trying to sell a phone to the suspect before the shooting occurred. The 27-year-old told police he was shot at the same location but could not say what happened.
The investigation is ongoing.
