Bomb threat causes abrupt evacuation at metro Atlanta Target, police say

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — A metro Atlanta Target store is closed after a bomb threat was called into the store, Brookhaven police said.

Police told Channel 2 Action News they received the call at 8:45 p.m., and responded to the Target at 2400 North Druid Hills Road about a bomb threat.

It is unclear if the threat was substantiated, however, police said out of an abundance of caution, the store was evacuated and additional resources were called in to investigate.

The scene remains active and Brookhaven police officials said and the investigation is ongoing.
