DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Two dogs and homeowners are safe after a fire broke out at a DeKalb County home Wednesday afternoon.
DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department say they responded to a home on 3454 Bouldercrest Road just before 1 p.m. When they arrived, they found fire coming from behind the home.

Capt. Jaeson Daniels of DKFR says a car caught on fire, which then spread to the home.
Initially, it was believed two dogs were trapped inside of the home, however, according to Daniels, the dogs were located outside of the home.

The homeowners, along with the pets were not injured. It is unclear at this time what led to the car catching fire. The investigation is ongoing.
