DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County Public Schools confirmed Clarkston High School is currently on lockdown.
According to officials, there was an incident on campus involving students at the school.
While details were not immediately available, the district did confirm to Channel 2 Action News that everyone in the school building is safe.
School officials sent a letter to parents on Friday afternoon saying that the school went into a lockdown after there were reports of a student on campus with a weapon.
Principal Pattie Lemelle thanked DeKalb County School District Police for their quick response and said two students were arrested in relation to the incident. Their identities, and the charges they face, were not provided.
