Neighbor Sarah France told Channel 2′s Michael Seiden that she had just gotten home when she heard the fire alarms go off.
“I ran up the stairs first and I could see the whole right side of the building was in flames, so I started beating on the doors and telling people to get out it’s a real fire and then I hit the fire alarm by my door,” France said.

France said the complex had just tested the fire alarms about two weeks ago.
Much of the four-story building appears to be a total loss.
Fire officials say 24 apartment units were impacted by the fire. Members were able to save two cats and one dog.
The Red Cross said it is providing shelter for 10 people impacted by the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
