DEKALB COUNTY, Ga — Fire officials are on the scene of a wildfire in Stone Mountain on Monday afternoon.
NewsChopper 2 is flying over the area of Highway 78 and Hugh Howell Road where it spotted flames and large clouds of smoke.
Channel 2′s Candace McCowan is headed to the scene working to learn more for Channel 2 Action News at 4:00 p.m.

It is unclear exactly how the fire began.
DeKalb County Fire Department confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that the Georgia Forestry Commission and Gwinnett Fire are assisting along with Stone Mountain Park officials.
