“I saw just the body in the street,” witness Samantha Prater told Channel 2′s Brittany Kleinpeter. “I called 911 because people were stopping in the street. It’s busy…it’s dark…”
Prater believes she was one of the first people to come across the shocking sight of a woman lying dead in the roadway.
“I just remember seeing that Tundra with the reverse lights on,” she said.

DeKalb County police confirmed they are looking for the driver of a white or gray pickup truck.
Police say the driver took off after the 29-year-old woman was hit. Officers say the woman was also ran over by a DeKalb County School Bus when the driver couldn’t stop in time. The school bus driver remained on the scene and is not facing any charges.
“It’s really sad and unfortunate…and you just don’t know what happened,” Prater said.
Officials say no students were on the bus at the time of the accident. Police are asking anyone who may have seen the driver of the pickup truck to call them.
