DeKalb police investigating after shots fired near school bus stop

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police said someone opened fire near a bus stop after a fight broke out between a group of teens and adults Thursday morning.

The incident happened in the Muirfield Drive area, about a mile from Redan High School and three miles from Redan Middle School.

Police said that no one was injured.

Several concerned parents reached out to Channel 2 Action News after they heard gunfire and children ran back home.

Police have not said if they have identified the shooter or if anyone is facing charges. They have not said what led up to the fight.

DeKalb County police said they are still investigating.
