DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — There’s an old saying that goes like this: “It ain’t bragging if you done it.”
“They’re undefeated. They know they’re the best at what they do. It’s very exciting. Overwhelming joy,” Coach Ray Snow said.
A year ago, the Central DeKalb Jaguars — a team of 7-year-olds who won the Super Bowl of youth football: a national championship in south Florida.
This year, they’ve all turned eight. They are still ranked No. 1 and are headed back to the playoffs.
“I think it’s gonna turn out very well," defensive end Logan Carroll said.
“Win it all?” Channel 2′s Berndt Petersen asked. "Yep,” Logan said.

The team has won 26 games against teams from eight different states to get here. If they win four more at the tournament in Florida, the Jaguars are champs again.
These players are also known as the “Lambo Boys.” Lambo is short for Lamborghini. The coaches and parents told Petersen that the kids are fast and physical, just like the sports car.
“I’m very proud of the boys. Very proud. Everyone does great. They look out for each other on the field, and they protect one another--and they root each other on,” parent Jamira Smith said.
They played the whole season during a pandemic, of course.
“Everyone is wearing masks. The coaches. The players. We check temperatures every practice, and we also take time out for the guys to sanitize. That happens every practice and every game. We did everything we could to keep our boys engaged, and not locked in a house,” parent Crystal Carroll said.
The tournament is next month in Tampa. You can help support the team by donating to the GoFundMe.
