“We fight and practice because practice makes perfect,” tight end Ronnie Pope, Jr. said.
They just returned home from the youth football National Championships in Miami.

“For me, it was mostly a business trip,” cornerback Jeremiah Davis said. Where they were all business, and they won it all. Again.
“It’s even hard to do it once. But two times in a row? And 3 out of 4 years. I’m super proud to be their coach,” Howard Thornton said.
Channel 2 has followed this team since the players were 6.

Now ten, everybody is a head taller, with more championship rings than fingers.
“Every one of these boys are like my own. I’m very proud of them,’ parent Antoinette Lightfoot said.
The team has a reputation. Some of the players moved here to be on the roster. Some are driven from Tennessee to practice and play.
They’re preparing for the big time. College. Maybe even pro. And among 10-year-olds, they’re the best.
