DECATUR, Ga. — A dog who was found walking down a DeKalb County neighborhood road “engulfed in flames” is doing “fantastic,” according to the nonprofit caring for him.
Will, a tan-and-cream Labradoodle, was found on fire on Lindsey Drive in Decatur in December.
Local nonprofit Dog Days Rescue is caring for Will as he continues to recover. The rescue posted an update on Will’s progress on Tuesday and say he’s doing very well.

Will suffered severe burns and struggled to move, but he is now able to walk around, climb up the stairs and get into plenty of things he shouldn’t, just like any other dog, Dog Days Rescue said in the Facebook Live update.
They added that Will’s body has somewhat rejected skin grafts they gave him, so they will not be doing more of those.

Police still have not arrested the person or people who set Will on fire, and the rescue says they haven’t received any updates on the investigation either.
Animal rights group PETA has contributed to a reward fund that would see someone with information in the case receive up to $10,000.

Dog Days Rescue says it will be a long while before Will can be adopted because of both his recovery process and the open criminal investigation, but they are looking forward to the day he can find a forever home.
