DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Some elections equipment being used for training in DeKalb County has been stolen, according to elections officials.
An official with the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office says that a DeKalb County elections official told them an unauthorized person had gotten access to equipment that had been used for training.

A check later revealed that 19 poll pads were missing.
Gabriel Sterling, the Georgia Secretary of State’s Chief Operating Officer, confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that the poll pads that were taken were new and did not contain any voter information.

Sterling says the Secretary of State’s Investigation Division is looking into the theft. He also says that a DeKalb County elections official had already reported the incident to police.
