The pond is just outside the heights of Carver Hills, a townhome community.
Bob Nuttall, a nearby resident, was eager to learn more about the discovery of the body near his home.
“They’re redoing the sewer lines here along Tilly Mill Road and they had an excavator bringing some materials here on the pad back here the other day and it tipped over. I think the materials were a little too heavy and it slid down into the retention pond and I think that’s what led to this discovery,” Nuttall said.
The body has been removed from the pond and investigators are working to identify the man.
