DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Grammy award-winning rapper 21 Savage and his Leading By Example Foundation held their sixth annual holiday toy drive.

Channel 2 Action News was in DeKalb County on Saturday at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center.
Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, whose stage name is 21 Savage, grew up in DeKalb County.
For the past five years, the annual toy drive has been a vital source of support for local families, children, and students.

There were plenty of smiling faces as families walked away with boxes full of toys and bikes for the kids.
Channel 2 Action News spoke to one grandmother who said the event helped her out this Christmas.
“I’m a grandma of eight and I was trying to figure out how I was going to buy all my grandkids a gift,” Angela Howard said.
Howard said when she heard about what was happening in her community she jumped out of bed and came on down.
