DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead after an overnight crash on I-20 that left the eastbound lanes of the interstate shut down for hours.
DeKalb police say they were called to I-20 just past the Wesley Chapel Road exit around 1:20 a.m.

Investigators say a tractor-trailer was stopped on the interstate when another car crashed into it from behind.
The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene. That person’s identity has not been released.

Triple Team Traffic reported around 5:30 a.m. that the crash had cleared to the side of the road and the interstate was back open.
