DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A house was gutted by a fire Sunday evening in DeKalb County.
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at 1250 Cornwall Road to find a home ablaze.
According to DeKalb County Fire Rescue, when firefighters arrived, they were told by a neighbor that all of the residents of the house were accounted for.

One kitten was rescued from the fire.
It’s possible that there were other cats that are unaccounted for.
No one was injured in the fire.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
It took less than 10 minutes for firefighters to knock down the fire.
They then remained at the scene to work on hot spots.
The people who live in the house will be assisted by the American Red Cross for a place to stay temporarily.
