DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities are investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 285 that caused massive backups across parts of metro Atlanta Friday morning.
DeKalb County police said a 22-year-old woman traveling south on I-285 hit an object in the road, and then crashed into the back of a stopped tractor-trailer at at Glenwood Road (exit 44).
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

NewsChopper 2 was over the scene just after 6 a.m. Friday when three right lanes were closed.
The crash cleared at 7:30 a.m.
