DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police say two children, ages six and seven, were shot after someone opened fire into their apartment early Thursday morning.
Officials told Channel 2 Action News that officers received reports of a person shot at the Artesian East Village Apartment complex on Bouldercrest Road around 2 a.m.

According to the investigation, someone fired several rounds into the home with the two children inside before fleeing the scene.

The children have been taken to the hospital where they have non-life-threatening injuries. Their identities have not been released.
It is unclear if anyone else was injured and what led to the shooting.

Channel 2 Action News reached out to DeKalb County Police for more information but has not received a response.
