DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators are reviewing evidence in the case of a missing local grandmother. They hope to narrow down the search for her body.
Channel 2 investigative reporter Aaron Diamant spoke exclusively with a member of the dive team that searched a local lake this weekend for Millicent Williams.

That dive team spent hours out on the lake in south DeKalb County without any luck.
Police say the victim's grandson, who's charged with her murder, is not cooperating. He remains in the DeKalb County jail.

DeKalb County Fire Rescue Capt. Eric Jackson, a member the department’s dive team, described conditions below the surface of Lehigh Lake in Chapel Hill Park as very murky during the search for Williams’ body.
“As soon as you stepped off into the water in some spots there was a drop off of 2 to 4 feet and if there wasn’t a drop-off you stepped into very silty mud essentially where your foot nearly sank a foot or two,” Jackson told Diamant.
Williams’ grandson Gregory Williams now faces murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault charges, even though a four-day search turned up no sign of her.
“There’s overwhelming circumstantial evidence that does point to the fact that Mrs. Williams is not alive,” DeKalb County police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said.
There was no search Monday, as police instead poured back over the evidence to help narrow down where to look next, since police say Gregory Williams is not cooperating.
“It would make it a lot easier for us if he were to cooperate and were to tell us exactly what happened and where Mrs. Williams is,” Campbell told Diamant.
Warrants obtained by Channel 2 Action News show police believe sometime last week, Gregory Williams broke into his grandmother’s bedroom in the home the two shared and attacked her with a “Rambo-style knife.”
Documents also show police found blood in the home, but focused their search on the lake and the woods around it because the elder Williams cellphone came back to the park.
“It’s not just the family who’s concerned about her well-being, wanting closure, but also people in the community,” Campbell told Diamant.
Court documents show Gregory Williams has a criminal arrest record in Florida and north Carolina, but no jail time.
Last week, Channel 2 Action News reported Millicent Williams got two protective orders against her grandson in recent years and police reports show six domestic violence calls to the house over that same time period.
Police expect to resume their search sometime Tuesday.
