DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A large sinkhole has formed after a water main break in DeKalb County.
Some homes were flooded Thursday when a 36-inch water main broke and sent water rushing through a neighborhood.
There were some concerns that schools could be affected by this, but City Schools of Decatur Superintendent David Dude tweeted Friday that all schools were open.
Crews located the leak after several hours of flooding.
Overnight, Channel 2's Darryn Moore witnessed gallons of water seeping from underground and gushing down Parkhill Drive in Decatur.
“It looks like a dam had broke down the street,” neighbor Elizabeth Grove told Moore.

Before DeKalb County Watershed Management found the 36-inch broken pipe, Grove said large amounts of water cut through front yards and poured into her neighbor's house.
“The pressure was hard. It completely flooded,” Grove said.
Crews said during the leak everyone had water, but the pressure was low.
Grove said the water ran for more than seven hours before crews located the break. She's concerned about water damage.
“We're pretty much warned about our concrete and we're told that there are two sinkholes that are on our street,” Grove said.
Crews are replacing the broken main. They said there's no need to boil your water.
