DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police arrested three men accused of beating a 24-year-old man to death.
Police said Torin Davenport was beaten inside a Decatur apartment by his wife’s brothers in May 2017 as revenge for Davenport allegedly beating his wife.
“There may have been some sort of domestic situation and they were going to seek retaliation for allegedly assaulting their sister,” said Sheira Campbell with the DeKalb County Police Department.
Davenport lost and never regained consciousness after the assault. He died at Atlanta Medical Center in October from “complications related to blunt-force trauma.”

“Looking at him there, lifeless, it was really hard,” said the victim’s mother, Tamika Sadavi.
The medical examiner ruled the case a homicide this week.
Police arrested Elton Calloway, 26, Kenneth Calloway, 30, and Bruce McDaye, 24, all of Decatur, overnight on Tuesday.
Channel 2's Liz Artz asked Sadavi if she knew anything about her son hurting his wife.
“I don’t know what went down with that, but I saw her and she had a swollen face. I asked her what happened and she told me nothing," Sadavi said. “I guess they felt like they had to retaliate instead of calling the police.”
Police said all three men have been charged with murder.
