DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The mother of the stuntman who died in a crash along with three of his children says she was initially in denial about what happened.
Taraja Ramsess was in movies like “Black Panther” and several other films in the Avengers franchise.
Channel 2′s Tom Jones spoke exclusively to his mother about her incredible loss.
“A parent never thinks about burying their children,” Akili-Casundria Ramsess told him.
She not only had to bury her son, 41-year-old Taraja Ramsess, but she also had to say goodbye to three of her grandchildren. 13-year-old Sundari, 10-year-old Kisasi and 8-week-old Fujibo.

Ramsess initially couldn’t accept they were gone.
“I refused to believe it for a while. I couldn’t believe they were dead,” she said.
Her son was living his best life.
“He loved his work and he loved life,” she said.
He was a stuntman and set designer who worked on some of the biggest movies.
Then Halloween night, their world changed.
“They had a car full of candy,” she recalled.
Taraja Ramsess was taking five of his kids and his ex-wife home after trick-or-treating. His car plowed into a tractor-trailer that had broken down at I-20 eastbound near the Wesley Chapel exit.

Ramsess says she will never forget the frantic call she got that night.
“Absolutely the worst. Absolutely the worst,” she said.
She says her son loved all of his children and she prays they are at peace.
“He’s an angel and he has his children with him,” she remembered.
Ramsess did not want to discuss the crash as it remains under investigation. She wants people to know that her son and his children were very special people who will be greatly missed.
The family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help with expenses.
