DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Fire officials said they're looking into multiple car fires early Friday morning in DeKalb County.
Channel 2 Action News talked to DeKalb County Fire Capt. Dion Bentley, who said at least 12 cars caught fire at an auto care business along South Stone Mountain Lithonia Road.
Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach spoke to the business owner who said he believes at least one car caught fire and then spread. By the time fire crews put it out, a dozen cars, trucks and vans were charred.
The owner said the cars were all fine when he left the lot less than 12 hours before, but he doesn't think he was targeted or that the fire was set intentionally.
