DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Three people were killed in addition to the person who shot them, and it's rocking a DeKalb County neighborhood.

Authorities were called late Tuesday night to the scene on Isle Royal Court in Stone Mountain, where they found victims shot. The scene is about a mile from a DeKalb high school.

DeKalb Police Department said the suspect, who killed the three victims outside a home, later shot and killed himself outside his home about a mile away.

Anita Price and her son Daniel Price, 40, were in Stone Mountain visiting family this week. Daniel's sister lives next door to the home.

Price was one of the victims.

“I ran outside screaming, ‘Daniel! Daniel! Daniel!’ and I called him, and by this time, police had got here, and the officer was over there and said, 'I hear a phone ringing,'" she said.

She said her son had walked next door to talk to one of the women outside. Police said there was an argument and 62-year-old Howard Jackson shot and killed Price along with two other women, 33-year-old Whitney Nolbert, who lived here, and 28-year-old Lanisha Mitchell.

When Channel 2's Michael Seiden arrived at the scene, he noticed a heavy police presence, first responders and family members filled with emotion. A neighbor told Seiden she heard at least 15 gunshots.

“Maybe 15 shots like, ‘pow, pow, pow,’ and then it would start back,” said neighbor Phlendetha Grier. “I never thought it would be in my backyard, I'm kind of touched by that."

Police say Jackson drove away and later killed himself. Investigators say he was in some kind of relationship with one of the women he killed.

“My baby got caught in the crossfire of whatever was going on. Whoever this person is," Price said.
