DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Big changes are coming for a metro mall.

Developers recently announced several new businesses planned for The Mall at Stonecrest in DeKalb County.

Developer Stonecrest Resorts is in the middle of a multi-phase plan to transform the closed Sears store at the mall.

The first phase, an aquarium called SeaQuest at Stonecrest, opened in November. The developer announced last week that its retail and entertainment concept Priví will open this fall.

“As our flagship experiential place development, Priví will transform The Mall at Stonecrest into more than just a place for shopping, but also a destination for leisure activities, events, luxury experiences, and soon a variety of insatiable restaurant concepts this community has been waiting for,” Vaughn Irons, principal and developer of Stonecrest Resorts, said in a news release.

The plans for Priví include food, shops and entertainment attractions that will go into a 200,000-square-foot space.

When finished, the Priví development is expected to create 560 jobs.
