DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Notorious jewel thief Doris Payne has been arrested again, Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes reports.
Payne, 86, was arrested Monday night at the Walmart on Chamblee Tucker Road in DeKalb County. She's charged with theft by shoplifting.
According to the police report obtained by Channel 2 Action News, police were called to the store around 5 p.m. for a report of a woman shoplifting items.

Police said the woman, later identified as Payne, tried hiding items from the pharmacy department, the electronics department and the grocery department.
According to the police report, the shoplifted items were worth $86.22.
Payne was taken to the Chamblee Jail, where police discovered she was wearing an electronic ankle monitor.
She is now out of jail after posting bond.
